Susan Bluechild first appeared in the Summer of 2004 touting her catchy Guitary irresistable self- penned pop track "Summer Girls". Released first in her native Ireland , on the independent label MPV records, the song captured radio playlists across Ireland and introduced listeners to a taste of a Belinda Carlisle/Stevie Nicks esque style artist.
Prior to this, Bluechild had based herself in London throughout the late 90's and had honed her craft amongst a stable of writers and artists; even travelling as far afield to Los Angeles where a US major came calling at the end of the decade. It didn't work out; and she moved on later to sign with Irish independent label Naughty Recordings " where she would finally put the wheels in motion to bring forth her debut album "Non Stop To Venus"
Produced by James Hockley (A, Chicane) at Strawberry Hills Studios Gloucestershire, England, the album saw its first release in Ireland with the Up tempo addictive pop radio single "Sunrise". It hit No.1 on the Neilson Airplay charts and remained there for 4 weeks , beating off major successful worldwide artists such as Beyonce, Pussycat Dolls, Will i am , to name but a few. It remained in the airplay Top 100 for a further 19 weeks! Further notoriety continued with journalists giving her the "Single of the week" , The Metro Newspaper, Album of the week (RTE 2FM) plus hitting playlists across every major and national station across Ireland. Further playlistings continued across radio in the USA, Hawaii and university stations in the UK.
